Mark Stern has been in the industry for over 70 years. He received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He started his career working for his family's business and that lead him to be the owner later in life. He later joined forces with the James F. Giannini team. Mark's wealth of knowledge brings experience to our team and he often serves as a mentor as well.
Mark has his Professional Engineering License in the following states: Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky. Mark has many affiliations such as American Society of Civil Engineers, Professional Engineers in Construction, Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers and is a founding member of Indiana Structural Engineers Association.
Mark has had experience with commercial construction and construction management, failure investigation for many insurance companies, has represented many legal cases and has provided structural design work for local architects, property owners and design/build contractors. He has worked on many projects such as Lake County Libraries, Strack & Van Til stores, office buildings, apartment buildings and schools.
